All our solid-wood hoops are made in-shop to compliment each drum both visually and acoustically.  Each hoop is made of solid wood segments which are finger-jointed together to create a joint stronger than the wood. 

The advantage of solid wood over ply hoops is that over time solid wood will compress and case-harden whereas ply hoops will soften and split. 

Our solid wood hoops can be crafted into many different profiles and inlaid to create that eye-catching esthetic.
